Technical Trainer Career Information

 Overview:
The Technical Trainer, Software Products will deliver field training to CQI Solution’s customers on Software products including the Care Tracker Enterprise, Care Tracker Nursing Notes, and other computer systems after they have been installed on-site. The incumbent will assist in the development, coordination, and presentation of technical information as it relates to those software products. He/she will work under the direction of the Supervisor, Technical Training, and will assess training needs through task analysis and, if necessary, develop classroom and/or e-learning courses for all Technical Support, Customer Support, Sales personnel, and CQI Solutions customers.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate management and employees to deliver field-training courses for internal and external customers.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training courses by creating evaluation forms, reviewing evaluations, and revising programs accordingly.
  • Provide follow-up support for all trainees, including periodic written updates and web-based opportunities for trainees to contact trainers and receive additional information.
  • Conduct product demonstrations with key decision makers.
  • Validate and update training curriculum by reviewing existing material and revising as necessary.
  • Work closely with customers, local sales representatives, product engineers, marketing managers, administrative, and other field support personnel to provide the highest level of customer support and satisfaction.
  • Provide meeting and tradeshow support as required. Set up equipment, attend booth, conduct demonstrations, and document sales leads.
  • Install hardware and software and provide high-level post-installation support including product configuration, customization, customer satisfaction monitoring, and high-level troubleshooting assistance.
  • Submit activity reports, expenses, and required daily and monthly logs.
  • Undertake special projects as directed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A healthcare technology background including network infrastructure, database knowledge, and programming is desirable.  
  • A working knowledge of electronics, personal computer hardware and software, and LAN concepts is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of hospital information system and operations is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite necessary.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills are necessary.
  • A high degree of personal organization, self-reliance, initiative, and creativity is vital.
  • The ability to interact with field personnel, management, and customers is essential.
  • Must be able to perform required duties without close supervision.
  • The ability to work well under pressure is necessary.  
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are vital.
  • Must be able and willing to travel extensively to support CQI Solution’s training needs.  
  • The ability to work flexible hours is required.
